Transplanted from the Nation’s Capital in 1961, the first incarnation of Washington Senators became the Minnesota Twins and was quick to find success. Tougher to find are examples of this 1960s game-worn Twins jacket. This is an absolutely gorgeous survivor! The blue satin-like zippered garment features “Minnesota” angled across the chest in red-on-white twill with “TWINS” and a star pattern sewn in white twill to a lengthy paraph. Red stretch ribbed knit lines the collar, waistline, shoulders and sleeve endings. A “Wilson” label and leather hanger accent the suede lining. The front pocket openings are lined in red leather. This is an incredibly well-preserved Twin Cities relic whose every element remains complete and intact.
