A souvenir of the 1936 World Series, this ONL Frick baseball is autographed by that showdown’s most dominant player: former Detroit Tigers right fielder Pete Fox. The sphere shows soiling from diamond use and is signed on the sweet spot by Fox in black-ink fountain pen (“5-6” strength). In an unknown hand, “10/6/35” is inscribed on the sweet spot, dating the relic to Game 5 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. An adjacent panel is home to an inscription (unknown hand) of “Foul hit by Gabby Hartnet,” with a list of names inscribed on another panel. Full photo LOA from JSA.
