Faring well with its baseball and football arcade contemporaries in terms of popularity, examples such as this 1929 “Vest Pocket Basketball” countertop game provided fun and competition for the price of a penny. Standing 9 x 16-1/4”, this sturdy metallic structure is affixed to a wooden base and features a steel lever to facilitate “shooting,” with a V-shaped receptacle for a “Foul Basket” (or, missed shot) and a much smaller hole for the ever-elusive 5-point basket. Crafted in Syracuse, New York by PEO, the game remains fully functional and retains its vibrant colors.

Please note, the original key is not included however the yellow face plate is unlocked allowing for ease of access and coin retrieval.
