All but given up on by both the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers, former Heisman Trophy recipient Jim Plunkett landed a back-up role in Oakland and was pressed into duty when starter Dan Pastorini was felled with an injury in 1980. Making the most of his opportunity, Plunkett powered the Raiders through the playoffs and Super Bowl XV, making them the first-ever Wild Card team to reign supreme. These (450) gameday programs were issued for that Raiders upset of the Eagles on January 25, 1981 at the Louisiana Superdome. Each 144-page guide features a jazz-themed front cover design and photos/details of the combatants on the pages within. Also featured are week-by-week highlights and an article on Marie Lombardi, the coin toss honoree and widow of the legendary Packers coach. These factory sealed publications are stored distribution style in a warehouse located in Santa Ana, California. While local pick-up is strongly encouraged, freight shipping is an option via a third-party trucking company. Please contact Huggins & Scott prior to bidding for more information and an accurate shipping estimate.
